Brigadier General Ing. Jaromír Zůna, MSc., Ph.D., born in 1960, graduate of the Military College of the Ground Forces, Vyškov. During his service he fulfilled a number of assignments at tactical, operational and strategical command levels, both at home and abroad, namely 22 years in positions of deputy commander, commander, deputy chief of staff, chief of staff. Among others they were: Military University of the Ground Forces (VVŠ PV) at Vyškov, Military Academy Vyškov; Territorial Forces; Support and Training Forces; Training Command-Military Academy (VeV-VA) Vyškov, General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic; US Army TRADOC; NATO Joint Force Training Centre Bydgoszcz, Poland; IFOR and SFOR missions. In the frame of his career preparation he completed e.g. the U.S. Army Infantry School Ft. Benning, U.S.; Army Command General and Staff College Ft. Leavenworth; National Defence University in Washington and the Joint Forces Staff College Norfolk. At present, he is the director of the Logistics Agency. He publishes mostly on the following themes: preparing personnel, training, multinational operations, UN/OSCE /NATO operations, security problems, force development.
