Libor Frank, PhD. , born in 1975. He studied Political Science at the Faculty of Social Studies at the Masaryk University in Brno and graduated as M.A. in 1999 and as PhD. He also graduated from the Senior Course on Conflict Management in Uppsala, Sweden, and from the Senior Course on Public International Law in Stockholm, Sweden. He attended the High Level Course of the European Security and Defence College and Senior Course on Security Policy in a New Europe (Stockholm), also attended the National Security Institute (University of Delaware, Newark, Fulbright Program). In 1999 he became a lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences at the Command and Staff Faculty of the Military Academy (since 2004 University of Defence) in Brno, and in 2000 he started working as a reseacrh fellow at the Institute for Strategic Studies. Since September 2008 until December 2009 he had worked in the Institute for Strategic and Defence Studies of the University of Defence. Since January 2010 he acted at the Department of Lifelong Learning of the UD. Since March 2014 he has been working as the head of the Department of Security Studies and Analyses, that is the part of the Centre for Security and Military Strategic Studies of the University of Defence. His research is focused on threat assessment and security policy of the Czech Republic.
