Colonel Tomáš ŠPOK, Ph.D., born in 1970. He graduated from the Military College of Land Forces in Vyškov (1994) and completed his PhD studies in economics and management at the University of Defence in Brno (2016). He has served in senior and management positions in the field of planning, preparation and use of forces and assets of the Armed Forces in operations. He participated in two foreign operations under the EU and NATO flag. He deals with the issue of application of basic doctrinal principles of preparation and use of armed forces in armed conflict. He is the author of a number of professional articles in domestic and foreign journals. He currently works at the Centre for Security and Military Strategic Studies at the University of Defence in the field of military-strategic studies and he is involved in the implementation of military career courses.
