Assoc. prof. Miroslav Nožina, PhD, born 1962. He graduated from T.G. Masaryk University in Brno (1985). He worked at the Oriental Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in Prague (1987-1990). Since 1990 he has been a research fellow at the Institute of International Relations in Prague, where he currently heads the Asia-Pacific Studies Unit. His research interests include ethnic conflicts, international crime and social development in Southeast Asian countries.
