Abstract:

Dr. Petr Majer, Col. (Ret.), born in 1950, Higher Artillery School (VDU) at Martin, Slovakia, Military College of Education in Bratislava, Slovakia (completed in 1981), Information and Communication Course in Strausberg, Germany (1995), administrative and law courses at Faculty of Law, Charles University Prague (1996, 1999). Variety of assignments, senior teacher, senior officer, at the Military Academy, Hranice na Moravě. From 1990 until his retirement in 2006 he worked at Press and Information Centre, Ministry of Defence Prague; from 1993 deputy chief of Information and Analyses Division, Agency of Military Information and Services, MoD (AVIS-MO), inspector of Inspectorate of Minister of Defence, member of Feedback System of Chief of the General Staff. Nearly seven years he was the head of Phone Line (advisory centre) of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic. In 2010 the Association of Bearers of Legionnaire Traditions bestowed him the Czech Patriot Award (ANLET). He was elected to the national board of the Czechoslovak Legionnaire Association (ČsOL).
