Potůček Martin

Prof. PhDr. Martin Potůček CSc., MSc., born in 1948, Masaryk University Brno, till 1989 he worked as a researcher, he studied at London School of Economics and Political Science, holder of Eisenhower Exchange Fellowships, USA; universities in Oxford, Britain; Constance, Germany; Institute of Humanitarian Studies, Vienna; Central European University, Budapest, Hungary. Since 1990 at the newly formed Faculty of Social Sciences (FSV), Charles University. 1994-2003 director of the Institute of Sociological Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences (FSV). Since 2000 he has been in the lead of CESES, Centre for Social and Economic Strategies, Faculty of Social Sciences. 1999-2004 first vice chairman of the Research, Development and Innovation Council, Office of the Government of the Czech Republic; in 1995 he was elected chairmen (1994 and 1996 vice chairman) of Masaryk Czech Sociological Association; 1997-2003 member of the steering committee of the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee), 2000-2002 its president.
