Col. Assoc. Prof. Zdeněk Skaličan, Ph.D., born in 1960. He graduated from the Military College of the Land Forces in Vyškov (1983), where in 2000 he completed his doctoral thesis and was appointed a lecturer there, in the field of protection of the Armed Forces and the population. He gradually passed the senior assistant, group leader and deputy head of the Department of Chemical Corps. He is currently appointed by director of the NBC Defence Institute, at the University of Defence. His education and research specialization is focused in the area of detection of toxic compounds and in decontamination and to the area of chemical units use.
