Ing. Jiří Halaška, Ph.D. (MG. ret.), born 1956. He spent most of his professional life in the military in the performance of a series of command posts with responsibility for operating and contingency planning. He was responsible for the planning and implementation of complex overseas operations of the Czech Armed Forces, directly involved in the crisis management operations during floods in 2002 and 2009. Currently operating as a Vice-Dean at the Faculty of biomedical engineering, Czech Technical University, where he teaches the subjects concerning Crisis and Security Management. He is a coordinator of a series of practical projects for crisis training. In his publication activities, he deals with current issues and the further development of crisis control in the Czech Republic.
