Navrátil Leoš

Professor Leoš Navrátil, Ph.D., born in 1954. He is a graduate of the Faculty of General Medicine, in the Charles University, Prague (1978). In 1984, doctorship and attestation in the field of "internal medicine". In 1997 he was appointed associated professor in the "Radiobiology". In addition, he was the Rector of the Military Medical Academy in Hradec Králové, later an associate professor of the Health and Social Faculty of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. In 2006, he was appointed Professor for the "Protection of Troops and the Population". He is currently a head of the Department of Health Care and the Population Protection of the of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague and lecturer in the Institute for Continuing Education in health service. Is a member of the Scientific Council in the framework of the Police Academy, Prague and other institutions. Since 1992 he is the Chairman of the Association for Radiobiology and Crisis Planning within the Czech Medical Society, a member of the European Society for Radiobiology and Vice President of the International Academy for Lasers in Medicine and in Surgery. He deals with the problems of the medicine of disasters and crisis situations.
