PhDr. Ivana Čechová, Ph.D., born in 1959. She is graduate from the Faculty of Art, the University of J. E. Purkyně in Brno, in the field of pedagogy, Russian language and literature. She studied the Ostrava University in the field English language and literature. She also graduated from several courses in the USA, Canada and UK, focused on the methodology of teaching the English language and professional military terminology. From 1985, she worked in the Military College of the Land Forces in Vyškov, and since 2004 she has acted at the University of Defense in Brno, currently in the English Language Centre. In her research activity deals with the use of ICT in language teaching, didactics of foreign languages and lifelong learning.
