Kovařík Vladimír
Lt.Col. Ing. Vladimír Kovařík, MSc., Ph.D., born in 1962, he graduated in geodesy and cartography at the Military Academy Brno. In the years 1994-1995 he studied at the Royal School of Military Survey, Hermitage, Great Britain, where he was awarded MSc. in defence geographic information. In the year 2003 he worked as a national expert in the European Union Satellite Centre in Torrejón de Ardoz in Spain. 2005-2008 he was a geographer of International Staff of the EU, Brussels, Belgium. In the year 2009 worked as Chief of Geographical Section, KFOR Command, Pristina, Kosovo, and as the highest national representative of the 14th and 15th contingents, Armed Forces of the Czech Republic. At present he discourses at the Department of Military Geography and Meteorology, University of Defence Brno, on problems of geographic support and long distance reconnaissance of the Earth.
