Col. GS. Oldřich Socha, born in 1954. He graduated from the Military College of the Grand Forces in Vyškov, post-graduate studies from the Military Academy in Brno, "VYSTREL" course in the Soviet Union and NATO course for the NATO'S command structures and other courses. From 1974 to 2004, he passed command and staff positions from platoon to division levels. In 2001 he acted as the liaison officer of SFOR division for Croatia. Currently he performs in position Director of the Operational and Planning Department of the General Staff. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute Operational and Tactical Studies of the University of Defence in Brno.
