Dr. Peter Weiss, born in 1952. He graduated the Faculty of Arts of the Comenius University, Bratislava, majoring in education (1975) and philosophy (1978). He has worked in the Committee for European Integration, as a Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic, Chairman of the parlamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Vice Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee of the Slovak Republic in the European Parliament (1998-2002), head of the Slovak delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly Council of Europe (2000-2002) and Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the Council of Europe (2001-2002). Since 2006 he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University International Relations in Bratislava.
