Prof. Dr. Franišek Mazánek (Col. Ret.), born in 1947. He is a graduate from the  Military School in Vyškov and the Military Academy in Brno. After two years in command of the platoon he began to act as a teacher at the Military Academy, Brno later at Military College of the Grand Forces in Vyškov, in the field construction of weapons and weapon systems. In 1987, he defended his doctoral thesis, and in 1999 he was appointed professor. Currently he acts in the Department of Military Management and Tactics of the University of Defiance in Brno. He deals mainly with modelling and simulation.
