Stehlík Eduard
Col. PhDr. Eduard Stehlík, born in 1965, Faculty of Arts, Charles University (FF UK) Prague; 1989-2012 Military History Institute in Prague (VHÚ), defence director of museum and administration department, those of education and military history library. From 2002 till 2012 president of the Czech Commission for Military History organised under the CIHM (Commission Internationale d'Histoire Militaire), with headquarters in Brussels. In 2012, First Deputy Director of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes (ÚSTR) in Prague. Author and co-author of dozens of expositions, from which the exhibition Assassination-Operation Anthropoid 1941-1942, had the greatest response. In 2006-2008 he prepared a popularizing TV serials Heydrich–the Final Solution, for the Czech Television. History advisor to several TV series, The Secret of Family Line. In May 2005 his book Lidice–the Story of a Czech Village gained the first prize in the competition Gloria musaealis, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Association of Museums and Galleries, and also the first prize in a category the Museum Publication of the Year 2004. Author and co-author of the Lidice Memorial Permanent Exposition. In October 2006, an honorary citizen of Lidice.
