Mgr. Jan Tvrdek, born in 1960, Police Academy (POLAC) of the Czech Republic in Prague. He held various command positions, e.g. chief of physical training for the Castle Guard of the Czech Republic, security officer, lawyer of the Security Department, General Staff, Armed Forces of the Czech Republic; head of Management Section, MoD. At present, academic worker of the Department of Crisis Management, Police Academy of the Czech Republic (PA CR) in Prague with specialisation in risks analysis, security management. Further he is involved in problems of updating educational systems within the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and the Police of the Czech Republic, in the field of security and crisis management.
