Yvona Vrchlabská, Ph.D., born 1964. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts, UJEP in Brno, Czech Language and Literature - French Language and Literature. She was an assistant professor at the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University; from 1999 she has been active in the Defense Department of the Military Academy as a teacher of French and Czech for foreigners. Currently, she is a member of academic staff in the Language Center of the University of Defense in Brno. She has completed several courses focusing on teaching French in France and since 2006 she regularly teaches Czech language in courses for Austrian policemen and officers in Vienna. She deals with increasing the effectiveness of foreign language teaching within the training of military professionals and students of the University of Defense.
