Martin Riegl, PhD., born in 1980. He completed doctoral studies at the Institute of the Political Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University in Prague and later he worked as a research assistant there. Since 2015 he acts as a head of the Section of Analysis and Concepts that is a part of the Defence Policy and Strategy Division of the Ministry of Defence. He deals with the geopolitics of sub-Saharan Africa, the problems of failed states, etc.
