Michal Šmerek, Ph.D., bornn 1971. He has Master degree from Faculty of Science of Masaryk University (1994), and Ph.D. degree from University of Defence in the field of Process modeling and simulation protection of troops and population (2011). By the year 2004 he worked as Assistant Professor at Department of Mathematics and Informatics at Faculty of Economics and Management (Ground Forces Military College in Vyškov), where he applied himself in the field of numerical mathematics. Since 2004 he has been working as Assistant Professor at Department of Quantitative Methods of Faculty of Military Leadership at University of Defence. He teaches probability and statistics, mathematics and operations research which currently represents the core of his research interest.
