František HUDEC, PhD., born in 1956, graduated in meteorology at the Antonín Zápotocký Military Academy in Brno and worked for many years as a meteorologist in the Army Hydrometeorological Service. Since 1989 he has been a university teacher at the University of Defence in Brno. His expertise is in lectures and studying the latest findings in the field of synoptic meteorology with emphasis on atmospheric processes on macrosynoptic and synoptic scales.
