LTC Jaap Hoogenboezem, PhD, born 1962. Graduate of Leiden University (1991) and University of Hull (2004). Taught policy studies at Delft University of Technology, Central College of Iowa and currently at Maastricht University, and is an officer in Royal Netherlands Army. His main focus is on political and military leadership. He is author of a number of books and numerous articles in international journals.
