Dr. Petr Suchý, born in 1970. After his master study of the political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Masaryk University, Brno in 1998, he graduated from the Department of Political Science, doctoral study there. Since 2006 he is working as head of Department of International Relations and European Studies, Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University. He focuses mainly on the development of foreign and security policy of the United States after the Second World War to the present, with particular emphasis on the period of the Reagan Administration, role and development of nuclear weapons, the development of arms control and disarmament processes.
