Kostrounová Jana
Jana Kostrounová, born in 1986. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. She is a scholarship holder and diplomas holder from the Damascus University and Cairo University. She is a member of the Czech - Arab Society and the Czech Society of Political Sciences, an Arabist. Fluent in Modern Standard Arabic, Syrian and Egyptian dialects, English, French, German, Akkadian and Hebrew. Currently, she is a student of the doctoral study at the University of Hradec Králové where she tought Political Islam, Modern Political History of Egypt and Arabic language courses. The topic of her thesis is the concept human rights in Islam: Koranic interpretation versus secularization in the light of current legislation in Egyptian Arab Republic and Tunisian Republic. Her professional interests include Arabic language and literature, Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Islam as a religion, political Islam, Islamic law, Islamic radicalism.
