COL. Jan Kyjovský, Ph.D., born in 1965. He graduated from the Military College in Vyškov, command-engineer branch (1988). He held engineer command and staff positions at mechanized units of ground forces (platoon, company, battalion, regiment, division). In 1999, he took part in SFOR II in Bosnia and Herzegovina as the Chief engineer of a mechanized battalion. In 2001-2003, he worked in the staff of the 1st mechanized division in Brno and in 2003-2005 he worked at the Directorate of training and doctrine in Vyškov. Since 2005, he has been working in military education – the Head of the support management control group (2005-2014), Deputy Chief of the Department (2014-2015). From 2015 until present he is the Head of the Department of Engineer support of the University of Defense in Brno.
