Yvona Novotná-Šabacká, PhD, born in 1977. She studied international politics and diplomacy at the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Prague, where she defended her doctorate in 2008. She gained experience at the French EDHEC University in Lille and especially during her study stays at the French St. Joseph University in Beirut. She currently works as an academic staff member at the Department of Security and Defense Studies of the Center for Security and Military Strategic Studies University of Defense. Her scientific interest has focused on the Middle East region, international security relations in the region, and Arab/Islamic culture.
