PhDr. Zdeněk Vališ, born in 1955, Faculty of Arts, Charles University (FF UK), line of studies history and keeping archives, senior research fellow at the Military History Institute (VHÚ) in Prague. From 1993 till 1999 he was an employee of the Ministry of the Interior, position of police executive, in the year 2003-2003 Institute for Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Science (ÚSD AV ČR). At present he is a free lance author. He wrote numbers of biographical books, for example General of Army Alois Liška (1991), General Heliodor Píka (1993), General Karel Janoušek (1997), co-author of books Military Personnel Condemned by a State Court (1993),General Karel Kutlvašr (1993), General Jaroslav Vedral-Sázavský (1994) and others.
