Assist. Prof. Dražen Smiljanić, PhD, born in 1966. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the Croatian Armed Forces, holding the rank of Colonel (A), and has served in various command, staff, and international military positions, including at NATO’s Allied Command Transformation. He has played an active role in the NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO) as Croatia’s national coordinator and researcher. His professional interests include strategy and concept development, defence economics, and security and defence studies.
